Bridge of Allan has always been a special World Textile Day for us, but this year, the WTD are taking a short break and handing the event over to our sister event, SashikoFest. We know your wanted a SashikoFest in Scotland, because you asked for one! Susan Briscoe has taught sashiko all around Scotland, but especially the central belt, and we are hoping to get some of her former students involved too.

See www.sashikofest.co.uk for more info.

It’s a really easy venue to get to from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. But guess what? Those textile-fanatic Scots come from as far away as The Borders, Aberdeen and Inverness. Now that’s dedication! Here are some pix of previous outings with World Textile Day. Enjoy!
